Early Voting

Any City of Rockford voter who is registered from their current address and with their current name may vote early.

The only difference between early voting and absentee voting is the early voter must show a government issued photo identification.  (IL Driver's license, IL State ID, passport, etc.)
Please see "absentee voting" for voting times.

Therefore, during the time period below a government issued photo identification must be shown when voting in person.

Early voting begins 22 days before an election and ends 5 days before that same election at the Election Office, 301 S. 6th Street, Rockford.
